The College of Education is one of the oldest schools in Roanoke. The college offers Bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees in the field of education. It was established in 1815 and was named after the colony of Roanoke, where the college was founded. The Bachelor of Education degree is focused on teaching students how to evaluate and implement academic and societal . . . . . . learning theories in a classroom setting. The Bachelor of Science degree focuses on research methods and research methodologies.
