The MS in Computer Science program is designed to help students acquire the skills necessary to be a successful software engineer and help the engineering industry. The program is offered at the University of Maryland College Park on a full time basis and students are encouraged to complete their degree program in one year, or to complete the program with a two year schedule.
The first year is divided into two courses work, which cover theory and practice, as well as lab sessions. Each student is required to have at least one laboratory session, where students will build software programs in order to have them run on a real operating system. Students must also complete general education classes as well as one additional programming class.
Students are taught the basics of programming languages. They learn how to analyze programs and test them before implementing them. They also learn how to write code that can be used by programmers. After their lab sessions, they will complete an internship. Students will also learn about the different languages available and learn about different software tools that are used in the field.
Students who choose the MS in Computer Science program can take the core curriculum or can opt to add elective courses to the core curriculum. Many students opt for these elective courses, because many of the courses that they already know are part of the program.
The electives taken during the course of the core curriculum cover advanced topics. For example, students who complete an elective course on the Unix operating system will have the opportunity to take a programming language course as well as a database course. Students who complete the software engineering elective will have the opportunity to take a more in-depth course on the Linux operating system and Unix, while students who complete the embedded systems program will be able to take an elective course in mobile software.
After completing the core curriculum, students will need to take four quarters of general education courses in order to graduate. Students will need to pass each quarter of the core curriculum as well as at least two quarter-credit courses that are specifically chosen by the student. Students will be able to choose from any number of elective courses that they would like to take during their time at the university.
In addition to the four quarters of the core curriculum, there will also be an elective course taken at the end of each semester of the student's work. This is an elective course that students choose in order to add more learning to their existing program and gain experience with the various software tools and languages that are used in the field.
MS in Computer Science is a program designed for students who want to get a career in the computer field and increase their knowledge. Once the student graduates from this program, they will be ready to apply for jobs in the field of computer science and to work within the software industry.
The program focuses on computer programming and does not take students into the specifics of how the programs work. However, the program does allow the students to work within the industry. They will learn how to write a computer code, use various computer programs, and create and edit the programs. This includes creating user interfaces and working on the computer hardware.
MS in Computer Science is designed for people who are interested in creating applications that can help with business and other types of industries. The program allows students to create a business application or a software application, which will be used within the field of business. The students are required to do a variety of tasks to develop their program. They will be able to handle the requirements of the business or the software business, but will . . . . . . also have the ability to test the software before it is released into the marketplace.
After completing the program, the student will have the opportunity to go through an internship program. Internships can be in a variety of industries, including accounting, marketing, and the web design. This gives students the chance to get experience with a specific industry. The students may have a limited amount of time to work in the industry, but it is an excellent way for students to meet industry professionals and learn about the business side of the industry.
MS in Computer Science program is an excellent choice for those who wish to earn a degree but do not have the time to attend college full-time. This is a flexible program that gives students a great return on their time and money. The program has taken many people into the professional world, and many have gone on to become successful in their chosen field.
