Masters in Nursing Education (MNHE) is a course offered by the Department of Health and Human Services for professionals who wish to improve their nursing skills or who want to further their education. This program can be completed over two years in either an online or on campus format.
The Department of Health and Human Services offers four master's degrees that qualify you to enroll in MNHE. They include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing Practice, Master in Nursing Management and Bachelor of Nursing Education. Once you complete a master degree, you will then be eligible to take up any of the approved nursing positions that the school offers.

In order to enroll in an MNHE program you must first be a licensed practical nurse (LPN). This is a special license issued by the United States government that is required for all nursing jobs. After you have been LPN for at least two years, you will have to pass a written exam called the NCLEX-RN. During the exam, students will be asked questions related to nursing theory as well as practical skills.
Before enrolling into an MNHE program you should consider the time commitment and the cost of education that will be needed. Once students complete their MNHE degree they will be able to take the NCLEX-RN test upon becoming licensed. Students can begin working as a nurse practitioner within six months after completing their training. However, it is important to note that not every state will recognize these nurses as certified nurses in that state.
